Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi
Location: Nairobi
Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi, and complete immigration and baggage collection. Meet and greet by our representative, followed by a transfer to your hotel in Nairobi. Receive a briefing about your upcoming safari in the Masai Mara and your onward journey to the coast at Diani Beach. Check in to the hotel and relax for the rest of the day ahead of tomorrow's 07:30 AM departure for the Mara.

Day 2: Day 2: Nairobi – Masai Mara
Location: Masai Mara
After breakfast, depart by road for the Masai Mara at 07:30 AM, arriving at your lodge to a warm welcome and lunch. Experience the incredible wildlife of the Mara on an afternoon game drive from 04:00 PM to 06:00 PM, with the chance to spot lions, giraffes, elephants, zebras and hyenas in their natural habitat. Witness a beautiful African sunset on the drive back, then enjoy dinner at the lodge.

Day 3: Days 3 & 4: Explore the Masai Mara
Location: Masai Mara
Spend two days exploring the Masai Mara National Reserve, choosing each day between morning and afternoon game drives with lunch at the lodge, or a full-day drive (07:30 AM to 03:30 PM) with a picnic lunch. Search for the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhinoceros), plus giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, antelopes, cheetahs and numerous bird species. Learn about the Mara's unique ecosystem from your guide and enjoy spectacular savannah sunsets before dinner at the lodge.

Day 4: Day 5: Masai Mara – Diani Beach
Location: Diani Beach
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and transfer to the airstrip for a scenic flight of approximately one hour to Ukunda, the gateway to Diani Beach. Meet our representative on arrival and transfer privately to your beach resort to check in and freshen up. Spend the rest of the day at leisure on pristine white sandy beaches, with optional swimming, snorkelling, scuba diving, kite surfing, windsurfing or other water sports at an additional cost.

Day 5: Day 6: Diani Beach
Location: Diani Beach
Enjoy breakfast at the resort, then spend the day at leisure on Diani's pristine white sandy beaches. Make the most of the Indian Ocean with optional activities such as swimming, snorkelling, scuba diving, kite surfing, windsurfing and other water sports (at an additional cost). Return to the resort in the evening for dinner and a relaxed overnight stay at Diani Beach, a peaceful change of pace after the early starts on safari.

Day 6: Day 7: Leisure at Diani Beach
Location: Diani Beach
After breakfast at the beach resort, spend another full day at leisure on the beautiful white sands of Diani Beach. Enjoy the resort's facilities or take a refreshing swim in the Indian Ocean; scuba diving, snorkelling, kite surfing, windsurfing and other water sports are available at an additional cost. Relax and soak up the peaceful beach atmosphere on your final evening by the sea, followed by dinner at the resort.

Day 7: Day 8: Diani Beach – Nairobi
Location: Nairobi
After breakfast at the hotel, check out of the beach resort and transfer privately to Ukunda Airstrip. Board your flight back to Nairobi; upon arrival, our team transfers you to your city hotel for the final night of your holiday. Check in and relax for the evening, with time to pack and look back on the Masai Mara game drives and sunny days beside the Indian Ocean before tomorrow's journey home.

Day 8: Day 9: Departure from Nairobi
Enjoy a final breakfast at the hotel, then check out at leisure. Private transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), Nairobi, where you complete your departure formalities and check in for your flight. Board your onward flight home with wonderful memories of your Kenya holiday, from the Big Five, golden sunsets and sweeping plains of the Masai Mara to the pristine white sandy beaches of Diani on the Indian Ocean.

- Flying Doctors coverage: optional at US$ 40 per person. Covers you within East Africa for 14 days; in a medical emergency you will be airlifted to Nairobi and taken to a good hospital. Hospital bills are borne by the patient.
