Day 1: Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Welcome to Tanzania! Your representative meets you at the airport and transfers you to your accommodation in Arusha, the gateway to the famous Northern Safari Circuit. Arusha is a charming town surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful landscapes, with views of Mount Meru on clear days. After check-in, the rest of the day is at leisure: relax after your journey, enjoy the peaceful surroundings or explore the local area, depending on your arrival time, as you prepare for the wildlife adventure ahead.

Day 2: Day 2: Arusha – Ngorongoro Crater Safari
Location: Ngorongoro
After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area through rolling hills, traditional settlements and picturesque countryside. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, formed by the collapse of a large volcanic mountain. Its grasslands, forests, wetlands and lake hold a remarkable concentration of wildlife in a compact area. On a guided game drive, look out for zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, elephants, hippos and birdlife; with luck, you may also spot lions and the endangered black rhinoceros. After the safari, continue to your accommodation in the Ngorongoro area.

Day 3: Day 3: Ngorongoro – Serengeti Half-Day Game Drive
Location: Serengeti
After breakfast, travel to the world-famous Serengeti National Park, past open plains, rolling hills and traditional African settlements. The Serengeti is celebrated for its vast savannahs and the Great Migration, when enormous herds of wildebeest and zebras move across the ecosystem in search of fresh grazing. Enjoy a half-day game drive with your safari guide, keeping your camera ready for giraffes, elephants, antelopes and predators such as lions and cheetahs, before settling into your Serengeti accommodation.

Day 4: Day 4: Serengeti Full-Day Game Drive
Location: Serengeti
Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti with your guide, with morning and afternoon game drives and a break for lunch, depending on the arrangements. Explore open plains and the rocky outcrops known as kopjes, watching for lions resting in the grass, cheetahs scanning the plains, leopards hidden among trees, and herds of elephants and giraffes. The location of the migrating herds changes through the year, so every safari here is different. Return to your accommodation to relax amid the peaceful wilderness.

Day 5: Day 5: Serengeti – Arusha, Departure
After breakfast, leave the Serengeti and begin the journey towards Arusha or the designated airport, according to your confirmed transfer arrangements. Road journeys from the Serengeti can be lengthy, so the transfer is planned around your flight time; where appropriate, an alternative transfer or domestic flight can be arranged separately. Your safari ends with wonderful memories of the Ngorongoro Crater, the vast Serengeti plains and the incredible wildlife of East Africa.
